Who we are

SolvePaper is made by Solverise, 27 Felixstowe Close, Reading, RG6 3UF. Solverise is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at kavita@solverise.co.

What SolvePaper keeps on your Mac

SolvePaper keeps a few things for itself, in a folder on your Mac (Library, Application Support, SolvePaper):

  • your settings, the window layout and a list of up to 12 recent files (name, location, page count and size). You can clear the list from the home screen.
  • the signatures and initials you draw or type for Fill and Sign.
  • autosave copies of unsaved documents, so your work can be brought back after a crash.
  • a log file about how the app is running. It is never sent anywhere.

When SolvePaper saves over a PDF, it keeps the original so you can go back with Revert to Original. The one exception is a save that applies redaction or Sanitize: then SolvePaper keeps no original, on purpose, so the redacted content is truly gone.

What leaves your Mac

Nothing. SolvePaper makes no connections of its own: no update check, no analytics, no account and no upload.

  • Text recognition runs on your Mac, using Apple’s own on-device recognition. Nothing is downloaded or sent.
  • Documents and spreadsheets are converted on your Mac, and the converter loads nothing from the internet.
  • A web or email link inside a PDF opens only when you click it, and SolvePaper shows you the address first. Links to files and network shares are refused.
  • If a form asks to be sent somewhere, SolvePaper tells you and does not send it. Scripts inside forms cannot reach your files or the network.

What SolvePaper reads

  • The files you open, drop on the window or pick in a dialog.
  • The clipboard, when you paste or make a PDF from the clipboard.
  • The fonts installed on your Mac, to show and edit text.
  • Your digital IDs: a .p12 or .pfx file you pick, and the signing identities in your Keychain, listed when you open Sign with a Digital ID. SolvePaper never sends them anywhere.
  • The names of cloud-drive folders on your Mac, only to label them in its folder list. It does not connect to those services.

SolvePaper does not use your camera, microphone, screen, contacts or location, and it does not touch other apps’ data.

Information we collect

SolvePaper sends no information to Solverise. If you email us for help, we use your message only to answer you. We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you, and delete them two years after the last message.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

SolvePaper has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting service.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases made through the Mac App Store. Solverise does not receive your payment details. Apple's handling of your information is described in Apple's privacy policy.

Your rights

Because our apps send us nothing, the only personal information we hold is what you send us by email. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete it by writing to kavita@solverise.co. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

SolvePaper collects no information from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what an app does with your information, we will also say so in that app’s release notes.
